Money For college And Expenses

Go to your financial advisor and tell them you would like to do a work study. This will give you money towards books and any extra goes in your pocket. they can usually put you in an area that is of interest to you depending on the size of the university. Hope this helps

Here's another suggestion. Go see a debt consolidation person. They may give you more suggestions than I can. YOU don't pay for the initial consulatation. If you are running out of money send a dollar a month. You are still attempting to pay so there is nothing they can do. When a collector calls speak only to a manager. They will tell you you can't, but you can. The reason is it makes them look like they can't handle the situation. IN the position you are in and all the other people right now, managers have more flexibility and can work around things better. From here on only talk to management. Once you notify the management that you know your rights and their limitations they may begin to backoff. After the first threat of any kind some states consider debt paid in full. Try this hope it works

You can tell your creditors that you will send them 10.00 per month period. When you are able to send more you will. Then tell them not to call you again or you will report them for harassment as you have told them the arrangement you can afford. Once you have told them not to contact you again they are binded by this. If they threaten you in any way they can also get in trouble. They don't think you know your rights so they will try any and everything. Go to a creditrepair.com website and it will tell you exactly what to say and do for free. There are no charges for this type of info. You should also put it in writing and send it certified to them. Hope this helps and good luck.

free money to help pay bills

 in response to motro74...

Do you know what it's like to lose everything? To have a high education only then to be told you are overqualified for most jobs? Yes, employers consider a lot of things when hiring including the fact that they pay more for different aspects on your application. Have you ever had to decide between paying the electric bill or feeding your children because your hard working husband just walked in the door to say his job just let him go eithout warning? Do you honestly believe that people ask to become ill (there goes more money out of pocket for health care that is exorbidant(you know what that means right?)? Now a person is sick and cannot go to work because they are hospitalized. Days missed. Oh no now too many have been missed---you are fired. No unemployment because got fired for being sick. Now no insurance so you get the full charge of your hospital stay. Where do you go now? You made over the allowed amount of money to get help from the government to get you on your feet. You are overqualified to work fast food or grocery store. Your family needs things that up until an unfortuanate set of events put you here you more than provided. Try not to be so closed minded. Be a grownup and consider if this was something that happended to you. Don't judge, lest be judged.

have you tried going to social service office in your city? they can help you with the new baby and maybe with getting your 14 year some help. Talk to the guidance councelor at her school who will be able to help her. This is free so try it. Also let me know what kind of skilled work you do as I may know of some work that has higher pay. Keep your head up and remember things will work out somehow.

What's on your heart and mind today?

I'm just tired. My husband has a lot of insecurities and jealousy. He needs to have surgery and his teeth worked on, all of which should have been done a very long time ago. Now it's on me to fix all the bad ever done. I have two kids that have needs. He feels that since one person can live off of 70 a week so should 3-4. He has a very skewed view of reality. He also has a very violent temper when things don't go his way. Anyways, I'm just tired of being tired. I have no friends here or anything. He won't let me geta job so it's me and my kids 24/7 with absolutely no time apart. To all of you having a hard time right now I truly hope things get better. I find new info on here everyday so just keep looking. A lot of people here can guide you to the right place. My mom used to say "this too shall pass and that god only gives you what you can handle." She never said how long it would take to pass or that sometimes God gets really really busy with everything and forgets what he already gave you. Good luck.

What's on your heart and mind today?

Reading these blogs can really put your life in perspective. I'm getting ready to go from living in a 2 br apartment to a small travel trailer. This should be fun with a 3 and 4 year old to entertain. We also get to move to a new city for a few weeks to move again a few weeks after that. I truely hope that all of you find some type of help to make ends meet. It's too bad the government doesn't really have assistance for middle class america. I'm sure most of you fall in this category. All the best wishes and hopes for you. If you look really ard trough here you find the answers you may need.

About hope1107

I am looking for any type grants or ways to get my husband surgery without having to be way way overcharged by the surgery center for this procedure. My husband worked in fiberglass several years ago and it really affected him. He has a deviated septum that completely bolcks his nose from draining properly. Doctors say it is not life threatening so unless you pay 10,000 to the surgery center nothing will be done. He has excrutiating headaches, loss of hearing, extreme mood swings, blurred vision, moments of black out, and further damage to other parts of his body. Any suggestion on how to deal with medical center price gouging would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
